German Shepherd Finds Out That She’ll Soon Be A Big Sister

For those of us who have siblings – not me, I’m an only child – we can probably remember what it was like when our parents mentioned that the family would be expanding. Well, it’s not just human kids that have to have the chat with their parents about their own child membership ending, sometimes dogs have to as well.

Take little Artie for example, a German Shepherd who’s reaction was caught on camera after her owner told her that there was going to be a new puppy joining the family.

Artie’s expression was one of pure gold – something between excited and confused and just all around hilarious.

Both Artie and her owner were in the car at the time that her owner decided it was a good idea to break the news to the dog. Sometimes there’s no time like the present, right?

Well, in the video, her owner starts out by gently saying, “Artie, I’ve got some good news. You’re going to be a big sister.”

In the video, Artie seems to be processing the statement, as she slowly turns her head to face her owner.

That is when her owner added, “We’re getting a new puppy. You’re going to have a little brother.”

Those were the words that set the video into a hilarious spin as Artie’s expression turns into something between surprise and dopiness. It only lasts a few minutes before Artie seems to be happy and smiling. But for everyone who viewed it, it was a reason to smile along with the adorable Artie.
