How many of us can remember being kids and bringing home stray animals? Well, for most of us animal lovers, this was a frequent occurrence. While most of the time the animals would easily win over our mothers, it was our fathers who had to be won over. We probably all heard a variation of the phrase, “Just wait till your father gets home.”
And then the time would drag on as we anxiously waited for our dads to get home so that we could beg and plea and make our case as to why the new furry family addition should stay. And as we all know, our dads would normally be furious at first, but then give into our crying and mom interceding on our behalf. And after a couple of weeks of the new pet being in the home, our dads would soften and become the animal’s biggest fan.
