Woman Is Reunited With Her Dog After Her Car Was Stolen With The Pup In It

A pet owner in Charlotte, North Carolina had her car stolen with her dog, Ruby, inside of it. Officials from the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department were alerted to the theft and worked tirelessly to find the dog along with the car.

Thankfully, the dog was found after several days!

The detectives then decided to surprise the owner with a touching reunion.

Welcome Home Ruby!

On February 1st, a chocolate lab puppy named Ruby was inside her owner's vehicle when it was stolen. Today, Det. Albanese and Det. Morell were thrilled to reunite Ruby with her owner. Watch what happened for yourself! Welcome home Ruby!

Sadly, this happens more than it should and the dog is nowhere to be found. But in this case, the happy ending struck a chord with many of the viewers. The pure joy they both have when they are safe again just brings tears to our eyes.

“Anytime that we as a department can assist the community in any type of reunion [it] shows the continued hard work that our officers are doing every day,” the police department said.
