There is power in music. It’s like a universal language that makes us all feel better – even animals.
And Dr. Ross Henderson seems to understand this, as he uses music as a way of relaxing his stressed-out patients. Dr. Henderson is no stranger to serenading his patients.
One of the sweetest moments on camera, a video shows a six-month-old puppy named Ruby, who is anxious prior to undergoing an operation to be spayed. In order to soothe her, Dr. Henderson steps in and sings to her.
Sometimes your patient just needs you to go the extra mile to make them feel comfortable when they're here for the day to have surgery. Dr. Ross has mastered the technique and sweet Ruby was so thankful for that ❤ #FoxHollowVet

It is clear that as soon as Dr. Henderson starts playing his guitar and singing to her, little Ruby begins to relax and actually rests her head on his lap.
Dr. Henderson, who works as a vet at the Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in Colorado, says that music has always provided him with comfort throughout his life. Therefore, he extends this kind of comfort to his patients by singing to them when they’re about to undergo surgery.
And Ruby isn’t the only one to enjoy a private concert, he does this for many of his animals. Below, you can watch Dr. Henderson serenade a sweet little kitty cat as well:
