Two Dog Siblings Separated During Adoption Randomly Meet Up Again 4,000 Miles Away

We’ve all heard the stories of long-lost siblings who are reunited by chance. And while they always make us feel happy, nothing is as warm and fuzzy as animal siblings who are reunited. Those stories are just heart-warming all around.

And no one knows this better than Pam Corwin, who witnessed it first hand.

Pam was taking a stroll through a Seattle park when her attention was caught by the commotion coming from two dogs and their owners nearby. Concerned at first, she went over to check on the situation, but quickly realized that the two dogs were playing with one another as though they’d been friends their whole lives.

As the dogs played, the owners chatted, and as their chats became more in-depth, they soon discovered that their dogs had both been adopted around the same time…and from the same place!

It didn’t take long for them to exchange info about the dogs having matching tattoos – something that made them certain that their dogs were siblings! As it turned out, both dogs had come from Russia to the U.S. where they were then separated when they were put up for adoption.

Naturally, the two owners exchanged contact information and promised to schedule their dogs together for regular playdates.

Pam shared the video of the siblings’ reunion to her Facebook, where it quickly went viral. All across the world, people were moved by the fact that these two dogs had remembered each other after all their time apart.

Despite their separation, these dogs got a happy ending with their reunion.

You can watch the sweet video below:

O.M.G.!!!!I witnessed the coolest thing today! I was at my booth at Pike Place Market and two couples (who didn't know each other) were walking towards each other with identical dogs. Suddenly, the dogs ran towards each other and went totally crazy. I went over to watch because it was so adorable, and as I stood there soaking up the love, the couples figured out that the dogs are siblings and came over on the same plane to be adopted from Russia a year ago! The dogs recognized each other! They even had identifying tattoos that confirmed it. This joyful reunion went on for over a half an hour, in fact they were still at it when I left the market.(I heard the couples exchanging phone numbers, so now they can have play dates, which made me very happy)(p.s. The response to this video has been incredible! Thank you to everyone who has reached out, including reporters, tv stations, blogs, rescues, websites, etc. I was approached by a couple of licensing companies and just signed the licensing rights to the video over to one of them. (I tell ya, this has been crazy!) So for licensing inquiries please contact: licensing@defymedia.com. I love how this story has touched so many people!)
