Toddler Sneaks Out Of His Bed To Cuddle With The Dog

Dogs have a heart of gold. They are the most loyal companions and will always be there for their loved ones no matter what. But just because a dog will always be there for us doesn’t mean that we can skimp on the reciprocation. We need to give them just as much affection as they give us. While adults might fall a little behind on that, due to work schedules and other commitments, kids never do. Perhaps that is why children and dogs make such wonderful pairings since each party is there for the other with attention to give in spades. Finn and Brutus are no exception.

Finn, an adorable little toddler, is best friends with the Boxer, Brutus. The two have been inseparable since Finn was born. Finn was also born with a heart defect that required immediate surgery. Brutus might have picked up on that, which would explain his extra dedication to the little boy.

Regardless, these two are like peas in a pod. They’re always together. But one evening Paige Knudston, Finn’s mom, caught the toddler displaying just how close of a bond the boy and dog share. The mom of four noticed on video that the 23-month-old child was sneaking out of his bed in order to sleep on the floor beside his dog!

In the very endearing footage, Paige was clearly able to make out Finn as he grabbed his teddy bear and a blanket and then curled up beside Brutus! The sleeping dog was none the wiser to the child getting comfortable beside him, but it was still such a heartfelt moment.

As the mom shared with the DailyMail, “I actually watched the footage in real-time from my phone in the next room, there was no watching the footage back or rewinding it. I was right on the other side of the door listening the whole time.”

Does that not just melt your heart? Watch it below and let us know what you think!
