Our dogs enjoy a good game of tug of war. Growing up, my dog’s favorite game was tug-of-war with her dilapidated stuffed octopus toy. When it comes to a rope battle between dogs, most people would put money on the larger dog overtaking the smaller one.
This isn’t always the case. Sometimes size can be deceiving. When one little dachshund went up against two Bernese Mountain dogs in a game of tug, the odds were stacked against her. Not only did the little pooch weigh a light 11 pounds, but she was also 15 years old.
Even though she was pitted against two dogs that weighed 100 pounds each, this little pup was not backing down. Dachshunds might be small, but their breed is known for being quite tenacious. Kera is no exception to this stereotype as she shows herself to be incredibly determined in the footage.
And the best part is she wins her rope war all while wagging her tail. It was incredibly sweet to watch. Check it out below:
