The Telomian is a unique Malaysian dog breed, which was used to protect the habitats of the indigenous people of Peninsular Malaysia from rats and snakes. Since their early owners’ habitats were elevated huts, the breed developed the ability to climb up ladders to reach them. The breed is extremely intelligent, alert, and obedient. Telomians excel at hunting and possess a natural awareness for detecting dangerous elements. They also use their paws to hold toys and open doors, similar to the way that humans do.
