Guide dogs are so important to the people that they help. That is why 58-year-old Kevin Coachman was devasted when his guide dog, a beautiful German Shepherd named Lucca, was stolen from his back yard by some teens.
The dog was missing from home for several days until one of the teens had a change of heart. One of the teens in the Illinois neighborhood phoned up Coachmen a few days after the theft occurred and let him know what happened. The teen said that he and some friends had done it and that he was feeling bad about it. That is why the teen brought Lucca back.
Coachmen was just happy to have his beloved dog back. The duo had been together ever since the Seeing Eye Foundation had paired the two up after Coachmen left his sight following a carjacking where he was shot several times.
Hopefully the teens learned their lesson about being kind to others and not taking what doesn’t belong to them.
Dogs are stolen each and every day around the globe. One way to keep them safe is with Cesar’s new Halo Dog Collar. These incredible safety systems are available today only and come with a GPS locator so you can keep track of your pet.
