There are very few things in life that will move me to tears – but anything animal-related will certainly get me reaching for the tissues like there is no tomorrow. And this video had me drowning in my tears.
Josh Kelly was a student at Idaho State University. Kelly suffered from epilepsy, so he needed a service dog to help him around. His service dog, Cletus, was a permanent fixture by his side on campus. The pit bull was specially trained in helping Kelly get through his seizures by alerting people on campus to the potential danger to his life. He did this without fail.
Unfortunately, this adorable pairing was cut short when Kelly passed away from medical complications associated with his condition. And it happened just prior to his graduation date.
And that is why it was so emotional when the graduation ceremony included a very moving tribute for Kelly’s family. At the official commencement ceremony, it was Cletus who went up on stage to receive the diploma on behalf of Kelly. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
