A police dog in Spain went viral after showing off her impressive CPR skills.
Police officers in Madrid had taught the dog, named Poncho, to perform CPR on a patient and were demonstrating the dog’s life-saving skills to his handler.
The video shows the dog pounding on the officer’s chest and then placing his ear by the man’s head to see if he was breathing or not.
The dog was then given a well-deserved treat for doing such a good job.
His performance is impressive but a police spokesman said that he was trained to do it for educational purposes only, and not for use in the field. “Poncho was trained to do this number for school visits. He doesn’t actually know how to perform CPR,” said Madrid police spokesman Fernando Rodriguez.
