Self-control. It’s the reason I can’t ever buy the giant snack bags of chips unless I’m having a house party. When it comes to food, practicing self-control is very, very difficult. Only a select few can ever control themselves. And only eat one of the suggested serving sizes, rather than the entire portion.
Given that self-control over food is something that a lot of us seem to struggle with – including our pets – social media has decided to create a new video craze called the “Temptation Challenge.”
The concept is simple, parents are pitting their children against their pets to see who has the weaker constitute when it comes to willpower. And it seems like people around the globe are taking part in the challenge since it’s a great excuse to distract from the ongoing pandemic.
The challenge calls for parents to place a tempting treat in front of their dog before telling them to wait. While a camera records, they briefly leave the room in order to see if the dog actually obeys or caves. The same can be done with kids.
While there are plenty of dogs who manage to stick it out and be the best boys and girls that they can be, there are also plenty of those who crumble under the pressure.
