A family surprised their son during a visit to the Stray Rescue animal shelter in St. Louis.
The family had gone to the shelter to drop off donations after their dog had passed away. Although the boy was heartbroken, he had no idea that they were also there to pick up a puppy they had adopted.
At first, the boy is confused about why they were waiting in the hallway. That’s when two staff members come around the corner with an adorable puppy in their arms.
The boy couldn’t believe it! As they hand him the puppy he kept questioning if the dog was really his.
Make sure to grab a tissue for this one cause it gets so emotional at one point that his dad apologizes to his son: “Sorry to surprise you like that, buddy.”
I don’t think this boy will have trouble forgiving his dad anytime soon.
