Unlikely animal pairings are the best thing on this planet. They’re so pure that you can’t help but smile at them. One orphaned fawn has found some comfort in a wildlife service dog called Mishka. Mishka works as a Karelian Bear dog, meaning he is specifically trained to recondition bears who have become accustomed to humans. In other words, he scares bears so that they become afraid, thus putting an end to them coming into neighborhoods and public areas in search of food.
While he might be scary to bears, that’s only because that is his job. When he’s not working to put the fear into bears, Mishka is actually quite a warm and loving dog. When his handler, Officer Richards, was called to the scene to assist an orphaned fawn, Mishka demonstrated his soft side. He took her under his wing, providing her with all the comfort and sympathy through gentle licks. He even let the fawn stick close by his side, just like a protective parent would – it was so heartwarming!
