Man Reunites With His Dog After A 5-Week Hospital Stay

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will stay by your side forever, look no further than a dog. Our canine companions will be there for us whenever we need a friend. Not only that, but our dogs will patiently wait for us to return if we ever go away. 

But as much as they are willing to wait for us if we’re gone for prolonged periods of time, that doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to be confused on occasion. Especially if our physical appearances have drastically changed during that time. One dog had a moment of confusion when he first reunited with his owner after five weeks apart.

The dog’s owner had been hospitalized for a long five weeks. Even though he’d recovered and was able to see his beloved pooch again, there were some changes. During the five weeks in the hospital, the man had experienced a major weight loss in which he shed 50 pounds! The change made an impact on his appearance, so when his dog first saw him, he didn’t recognize him.

However, it only took a few seconds for the dog to register that it was his beloved owner who was returning. And the resulting moment of happiness was quite sweet. Watch it below:
