Service dogs become such an integral part of any family that it’s only right that they are treated as such – especially since they do so much for their person.
Michael Cantu is a man who relies on his service dog Toli.
“He’s been with me every step of the way since I got him,” Cantu said to The Dodo. “He helps me open doors and drawers, turn on/off lights, picks up things I drop, etc.”
When Toli turned 4, it was only right that he get a special day dedicated to him – and that’s exactly what Cantu did.
Cantu decided to spoil Toli for his 4th birthday by taking him shopping for his birthday gift at their local pet store. Toli had loads of fun going up and down the aisle looking at all his different options.
The whole thing was captured on video, including the moment when Toli found his perfect present:
Cantu said, “This has kinda become a tradition on his birthday. He loves taking naps and cuddling with his toys.”
Toli’s gift choice for himself was a plush rabbit toy.
As Cantu explained, “That rabbit, who is now named Chungus, he takes with him everywhere.”
