Back in 2015, our hearts were broken for one loyal pooch in Jacksonville, Florida who refused to leave his owner’s side after a tragic accident. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office was called out to the scene where a woman had died after being hit and killed by a car.
42-year-old Kelly Black had been walking her dog, Paco, when she was killed. As Action News reported at the time, the truck driver had most likely been completely clueless to having struck Kelly.
When the police arrived, Paco was right beside her, refusing to leave her body. After her body had been removed from the scene, a heartbroken Paco sat at the crash site for several hours.

Authorities did their best to try to get Paco to come with them, however, they were unsuccessful in their attempts.

Paco stayed at the scene until Kelly’s family arrived. Finally, the dog seemed somewhat happy as he wagged his tail and agreed to get in their car to go home.
