There is nothing that compares to the bond that you have with your first dog – especially when you’re a child. Every kid should have a dog, unfortunately, not all families are in the position to be able to facilitate their children having a dog. But for the lucky kids who do get to have a dog growing up, there is no comparing that bond of friendship. We all remember our first dog, well into our adulthood. I’m 30, and my dog passed away eight years ago already, but I still remember the good times with her like they were yesterday. She came into my life when I was seven years old, and stayed until I was 22 when she lost a battle with cancer. Growing up, I was an only child, and on top of that, I was teased a lot at school, so I didn’t have any friends really. But having her around was like having a constant playmate and sibling who made things less lonely.
Kids and dogs make such wonderful pairs. And one young girl and her pitbull have made quite the splash on Instagram because of their tight-knit bond. And after watching the video, it’s easy to see why they’ve become so popular. The video is one that their mom hopes will help to change the negative stereotypes that surround these dogs. But looking at the video, there is nothing but love and gentleness between these two, so it’s clear that Lebowski and Scarley are the best of friends. The pit bull is definitely a wonderful buddy and guardian for the young girl.
While many of their photos and videos on Instagram perfectly capture the essence of their relationship, the video that really pulls at the heartstrings is the song that Scarley sings to Lebowski. In the video clip, she does her best rendition of “You’ve Got a Friend in Me,” something that the dog just absolutely loves. Watching these two interact will make you want to reach for the tissues, so consider yourself warned.
