The Lagotto Romagnolo is a water-retrieving breed famous in Italy for its ability to locate truffles. They have a very good nose, are easy to train, and are known for being loyal and affectionate. Lagotto Romagnolo means “lake dog from Romagna.” They are an incredibly rare breed, especially in the United States, where there were only 500 reported in 2009.
