We all learn important things from our fathers. They’re the ones who teach us how to ride a bike, throw a ball, or change the oil in our cars. And in the animal world, dads are no different than their human counterparts, as they also take on important teaching roles for their young.
And in one adorable video, you get to see a loving Labrador dog teach his little pups how to swim! Given that Labs are notorious water lovers, it seems like a very important life skill to have – and these puppies were so lucky to have such an attentive father to show them the ropes.
In fact, in the video, it seemed as though they were thoroughly enjoying learning how to swim, as they happily followed him out into the water. They then swam around a bit as a happy family, before returning to shore.
Like all things in life, teaching your children important life skills is part of growing up and raising kids – and it’s clear that this doggie dad was doing a great job preparing his pups for the real world of being a dog. These puppies couldn’t have been any luckier with the dad they got.
Labs are known for being very caring and patient dogs, which is why they’re quite popular as pets. And it’s no surprise either, just by watching the way the dad interacts with his pups it’s clear that he’s got a heart of gold and cares for them very much.
