We all have our own personal obsessions. For me, it’s always been books. I’m a proud bookaholic. Cats are obsessed with catching the little red laser dot. And dogs have their own variety of things they’re obsessed with, such as balls, treats…and squirrels. For some reason, out of all the animals that dogs can chase, there is just something about squirrels that gets them way too excited.
And there was one adorable little Jack Russell terrier who would just absolutely lose her mind every time she saw a squirrel. Of course, her owner managed to catch the cuteness on camera, and we’re so thankful they did.
Callie is the energetic little terrier who loves to chase squirrels. In fact, she’s so obsessed with the furry rodents that she even goes nuts just at the mention of squirrels! It’s so precious to watch how riled up she gets just by the mere mention.
Callie, like most dogs, loves to chase things. She’s a Jack Russell, and while she may be small, she’s got bounds of energy. Her breed was specifically bred to be working dogs helping farmers catch vermin. And while she’s not a working dog herself, it makes perfect sense as to why she loves to chase squirrels every chance she gets. It is so funny to watch how she reacts to being told by her owner if she’s seen the squirrels.
In the video, the adorable little pooch is being held by her owner. He repeatedly taunts her weakness for squirrels by asking her, “Callie did you see the squirrels?”
The pup then looks off in the distance, clearly searching for her nemesis. As he continues to ask her about the squirrels, she grows more and more frustrated that she can’t chase them – and her groans turn into barks until she’s fully frenzied and wanting to go chase a squirrel.
