Friendships blossom under all different circumstances. And nobody is better at making friends than dogs. Our puppers are some of the most compassionate animals around. They’re able to form connections that go beyond just those with humans and other dogs. They will literally become friends with anyone. So it was not surprising at all when one dog’s owners wandered into the horse stable and found their pooch busy being friends with one of the horses.
The dog was sat in front of the stall, and no matter how much they called the dog, he refused to come with them. It was clear that he was too busy hanging out with his friend to be bothered by going with his owners. It doesn’t even matter to the dog that his friend is a horse, he’s just happy to have a friend.
In the video, the two animals were clearly having a moment of friendly interactions as they kept booping noses with one another. The footage is incredibly sweet to watch as it reiterates for us how dogs are able to bond with animals outside of their species. And that is the kind of empathy and compassion that we should all aspire to be.
