Kindness is the one thing that will never cost you anything to give, yet it can change the world for someone else. It’s always heartwarming to see people being kinds towards one another, but it’s equally as sweet to see when people are kind towards animals.
A photo went viral as it showed a tender scene outside a Morrison’s grocery store in Giffnock, Scotland. The picture was taken during a rainy day and showed the gentleness of one security guard who took it upon himself to shield a dog from the miserable weather using his umbrella.
The security guard in question, Ethan Dearman, was praised online for his kind act. Many people responding to the picture on Twitter referred to him as a hero or asked for him to receive a pay bump.
Check out what some people were saying about the picture online:
The man is a hero. The owner of dog??? Needs a lesson in responsble ownership. Would owner leave their child, or value property unattended???

It didn’t take long for the viral picture to track down the dog and his owner. The pup was revealed to be a dog named Freddie, who was owned by a man named David Cherry.
Cherry reached out saying:
Thanks to security man @dearmanethan for putting the umbrella over Freddie when it started to rain! So kind! He’s always so nice to my brother Stuart, my Dad and our Freddie! Here’s Freddie when he was a puppy! pic.twitter.com/TJuX41ozFE
