Remember when we could go to weddings? Those were the days. However, anyone who’s gotten married knows that the “perfect” day doesn’t exist – sometimes things just go however they go. But sometimes, those results are quite entertaining and cute.
When Rebecca Simpson and Charlie Hart got married, they didn’t think that they’d end up with some adorable memories. But sometimes, the craziness makes for beautiful photos.
And they definitely were able to thank their eight-year-old dog, Bernie, for the hilarious memories.
Following their September ceremony in North Carolina’s Brown Mountain Beach Resort, the couple then went to take some family pictures by the water’s edge. Bernie can with. And the little bulldog certainly didn’t have any sense of decorum for the photoshoot.
Rebecca shared with The Dodo, “He actually bolted straight towards us when he saw us and someone had to scoop him up to avoid him covering my gown in sand and water. We asked him to sit, but in typical bulldog fashion he was only focused on what he wanted to do.”
While most people probably would’ve panicked, both the bride and groom, along with their photographer, just went with the flow. And their wedding photographer, Jillian Knight, managed to capture some pretty awesome pictures because of it.
The dog’s silly antics definitely made for some wonderful pictures.
Rebecca said, “Our photographer Jill was amazing — she saw the opportunity and vision for these pictures and told us just to keep laughing and posing while he was in the background doing his own thing. And [the photos] turned out better than we could have dreamed!”
And while the pictures would suggest that it was an intimate moment, it actually wasn’t. When Bernie went charging into the water, all 120 guests could be heard laughing from the deck not far away.
Regardless, it was a great day overall.
