Golden Retrievers Break Into Toddler’s Bedroom And Convince Her To Get Them Snacks

One morning, a mother woke up at 6 am to find her 15-month-old daughter freely roaming the hallway.

Naturally, she freaked out a bit, as the child is way too short to reach the knob to her bedroom door. Doing what any good mother would do, she checked the home security footage. And that is when she saw the double trouble.

Bleu and Colby are two Golden Retrievers who were thrilled when the tiny human entered the world, and they quickly took her under their wings as part of the family. That bond only intensified once they figured out that the kid was a lot more generous with the treats than the adults were – so the two dogs began to scheme of ways to get more food out of their human sister.

Bleu and Colby are normally awake and hungry around 6 am, so they will sit outside their owners’ room and bark in order to let them know it’s breakfast time. However, this particular morning was different. As the video footage revealed, the two Golden Retrievers broke into their sister’s bedroom in order to help her escape and get the breakfast train going.

“They definitely knew what they were doing,” the mom said to The Dodo. “They start getting really hungry around 6 a.m., and instead of barking outside our room, I think they figured they’d try the baby.”

Those two sound too smart for their own good – thank goodness they don’t have opposable thumbs!
