The running gag on The Big Bang Theory whenever someone was sitting in Sheldon’s spot was something that really resonated with me. I’m sure it resonated with a lot of people as we all have our favorite spots on the sofa. In my house, I favor the loveseat that is opposite the window. It’s my favorite spot to curl up with a book and a cup of coffee. If my spouse ever steals my spot, I’m not a happy camper.
Now if a dog steals our favorite spot, that is a different story. While it’s easy to tell a significant other to move out of your spot, it’s not that easy when it is your dog. They’re so comfortable lying there in your seat. Plus they know how to work the big-eyed puppy dog charm on you. You almost feel guilty kicking them off the couch.
Milo was a golden retriever who was naughty and stole his owner’s seat. The dog was very obstinate too. Milo just barked back at his owner when he asked, “Are you in my seat?” There was no moving Milo – not even with the promise of a walk to the park. Good luck trying to ever get your seat back from this stubborn pup!
