Fisherman Thought His Dog Had Drowned Until Police Towed The Boat To Shore With His Pup Inside

Imagine being out on a boat with your dog when it suddenly begins to sink, plunging both you and your pooch into the water? While that has got to be an incredibly awful feeling, it is worse when you can’t locate your pet.

One fisherman in Victoria, Australia was in a boat with his dog when it capsized. The man was rescued, however, in the chaos of the situation, he didn’t know where his buddy Jack was. Since there was no clear sign of Jack, the fisherman assumed the worst – believing that his best friend had perished in the accident.

The man was absolutely grief-stricken, but a few hours later, that all changed when the water police were towing the wreckage back to shore and found Jack. He’d been on board the whole time and was alive.

Video footage was captured of the moment when the fisherman and Jack were reunited after their boating accident. It is truly heart-warming to watch the amount of love this man has for his little dog.

We’re so happy this story had a happy ending.
