Dog Sneaks Into The Neighbor’s House Every Night To Bathe With The Kids

They say good fences make good neighbors, but two dogs in Australia are proving that good fences only separate best friends. Aeida and Cashew are two dog neighbors who’ve been instant besties since they first moved next door to one another – becoming so close that their families had to put a doggie door in the fence so they can always be together.

As a result, Aeida, a Staffordshire bull terrier, has grown quite fond of her human neighbors, particularly the children.

“Aeida is very friendly and loving,” Aeida’s owner, Nicole Ackehurst, said to The Dodo. “She really just loves everyone and anything — especially our neighbors’ children.”

So when Aeida started disappearing in the evenings, Ackehurst figured Aeida was just hanging at Cashew’s. It wasn’t until Cashew’s owners sent her a message that she figured out the full extent of Aeida’s evening rendezvous.

“Our neighbors sent us a Facebook message with Aeida sitting in their bathtub,” Ackehurst said.

She found quite amusing, as the normally stubborn Aeida refuses bath time at her own home.

“She will join them at bath time at every chance she gets,” Aeida’s dog mom said.

Given that both dogs are so close to one another, it’s only natural that they both integrate into each other’s families.

“I’m pretty sure our neighbors love having her over, just as we love having Cashew come over too,” Ackehurst said. “Aeida and Cashew are great friends, and have such a strong bond. They’re both considered great parts of our families.”

What an adorable pair of friends.
