Our pets are such an integral part of our families, that we sometimes forget they once had families of their own before they joined ours. Every dog we own once came from its own family unit with a momma dog and siblings. Sometimes, our pets are fortunate in that their initial family unit was kept together. But for others, where they came from is a total mystery.
However, sometimes, there are those light-hearted reunion moments between a dog and its long-lost family that get captured on camera and it warms us to our very core. Like the case of the Golden Retriever named Harper, who was reunited with her birth mother after getting adopted.
The last time Harper has seen her mother, was when she was an 11-week-old puppy. Now that Harper was older, there was the wonder of whether or not she’d recognize her mom or not. Of course, neither Harper or her mother were aware that they were going to be reunited, so that made the video that much more endearing.
It was clear that when these two met, they instantly knew who the other one was, and they acted as though no time had passed since the last time they saw each other.
