We all know dogs bark. That is a natural part of who they are. Barking is a way of communication for our pets and it’s how they’re able to convey many different feelings. It’s the way they tell us that there is danger nearby, that they’re hungry, or just that they’re craving our attention.
While we know that our dogs naturally bark, many of us still try to teach them a little bit of self-restraint. Nobody likes a dog loudly barking in the home for every little thing. And one owner has managed to their pooch how to remain calm. This does mean that the dog isn’t without his own ways of getting around the no-bark rule.
Ranger has figured out that he doesn’t necessarily need to give a full-on bark in order to convey a point. The clever pooch makes a sound that is akin to a cough. But in reality, it’s his way of softly barking at something he sees outside. Unfortunately for Ranger his owner figured out his game.
In the clip, she can be heard telling Ranger, “no bark.” The pup understands what she’s telling him, so he briefly stops. But then he looks the camera dead in the eye and does his low woof. Clearly there’s no telling Ranger how to behave.
