Some dogs are calmer than others, and then there is Maymo. The canine YouTube star is famous for all the adorable videos on his channel that show him getting up to all sorts of hilarious and charming antics. The very chilled out Maymo is always up for all kinds of fun activities, but it’s his completely relaxed attitude that often makes for the best outtakes in his videos.
In one of his more recent ones, the adorable lemon beagle has a close encounter of the fourth kind when an eight-foot-tall green alien strolls right into the living room where Maymo is sitting. The dog’s reaction is hilarious. His attitude is definitely what we all aspire to be this 2020 year: relaxed to the point that we don’t care if a giant alien is beside us.
The hilarious video of the close encounter shows a chilled out Maymo doing his own thing on the couch and just lounging around. Then, the large green man strolls into the living room where the beagle is hanging out. While most other dogs, or even people, might show a visible reaction, Maymo just continues minding his own business. The only time he really looks up is when the “alien” begins to pat him on the back.
Upon further investigation, if you look closely in the background, you can see that the alien is being manipulated by someone we can presume to be the dog’s owner. Perhaps Maymo knew from the start that it was just his human having some fun and that’s why he was so unimpressed by the giant blow-up doll appearing in the living room. Maymo endures a little bit more of the petting before the alien vanishes. The dog then looks at the camera with an expression that suggests he’s wondering if it’s truly the end of the weird green alien doll, or if there will be an encore.
And that is when the alien comes back for round two. But this time, Maymo is not about to sit through another round of petting. Instead, he goes after the alien’s hand and eventually manages to bite the blow-up doll. Watch the pup in action below:
