For most of us growing up, we weren’t homeschooled, which means that we would have to attend classes outside of our home. This obviously meant that our parents would be the ones driving us to school every day. And for those of us with dogs at home, that also meant that we’d have an adorable furry face to say goodbye to in the morning, and one that would greet us in the afternoon when our parents picked us up.
However, for one woman, Gabriela C. and her son, school drop off turned into something quite emotional. But that outpouring of emotion wasn’t from either Gabriela or her son, it was from the family dog. The poor pooch was distraught at having to say goodbye to the boy for the day – she’d have much rather preferred he stayed home with her.
Sadly, it’s not that easy explaining the importance of education to a dog, as Gabriela learned as she tried to comfort the distraught pup. Even after they’d driven away from dropping the boy off, the dog continued to whine and moan that her best friend was dropped off at school.
According to Gabriela, this wasn’t the only time a scene like this has unfolded in the car. In fact, it’s a daily ritual when it comes to school drop off when she takes her child to school.
Dogs are truly loyal animals. And it’s always sweet to see their deep devotion to those that they care for most – even if its heartbreaking moments like school drop off. Hopefully Gabriela’s son recognizes just how lucky he is to have a friend that cares so much about him.
