Dogs have feelings. There is no way that anyone could possibly argue otherwise since there is plenty of evidence to prove that dogs feel emotions the same way that humans do. In fact, the reason that dogs make such wonderful pets is that they often provide us with lots of cuddles and comfort when we’re upset. Yes, they do understand our feelings and emotions. That is why when dogs themselves are sad, it’s the most upsetting thing to witness.
One doggie, Wiggles, used to spend his days in the old tow truck with his owner. Unfortunately, when his owner passed away, Wiggles was left to mourn the loss and heal his own broken heart. And the way that Wiggles worked through his grief, was to spend his days sitting in the old tow truck. And the pictures that were taken of him doing so proved just how much a dog can feel in terms of emotion – it was clear that Wiggles was depressed and missing his owner.
Wiggles’ owner had passed away a year prior, but every following the death, Wiggles continued his vigil out in the truck. His owner’s son had shared that following Wiggles’ owner’s death, the truck would often still be used to move cars around the impound lot.
The son posted, “Whenever someone is in the truck he gets in and goes for a ride around the yard. If no one is in the truck he will go to the driver’s door and bark until someone lets him in. We have to pick him up and carry him out of it when its time to go home.”
Wiggles would spend his days in the same exact spot – the driver’s seat. There is no doubt he was there wishing he was on his owner’s lap. The poor little pooch would even put up quite the resistance every time he had to be taken out of the car.
The owner’s son further stated that Wiggles was there when his father passed away.
He said, “He never left the room for the month dad was there. We had to carry him outside to go to the bathroom.”
The loyalty that dogs show for their owners is something so incredible. It truly shows just how deeply dogs can feel bonds for others and reinforces the fact that they do indeed feel emotions. I’ll gladly argue with anyone that says otherwise.
