Dogs are animals with lots of love to give. And one 10-year-old rescue named Meesha was no exception. The adorable pup was rescued by Pittsburgh local Lisa Pacolay. Lisa quickly noticed however that she wasn’t the only recipient of Meesha’s caring nature. In fact, the loving dog had also made friends with a local deer.
While definitely an unlikely animal friendship, there was no denying that the pairing was still quite cute in nature. These two friends didn’t seem to care in the least that they were from different species and instead, just enjoyed each other’s company. And their bond only continued to increase.
According to Lisa, the frequency with which the deer would visit began to increase. At first, the friendly deer would stop by once a day to say hi, Lisa noted that it soon became several times a day. And the one who was always the subject of these visits was Meesha.
Lisa relayed to KDKA, “We can’t always see her when we let them out, but within a minute or so she appears. When we bring the dogs back in, she will sometimes circle our house a time or two, so it seems like she is looking for the dogs still.”
Thinking quickly, Lisa decided to capture their interactions on video so that she could then upload it to Facebook for others to see. The precious friendship is so fun to watch as you can see the dog and deer playing chase and other little games through the fence with one another. Check it out below:
Day 2 and I'm still in awe of this relationship. I've never seen anything like this ever.Edit: We do realize that it is fawn season and this doe may have had a fawn somewhere in the woods that she thought our dog posed a risk to. We haven't seen the deer again since the day this video was posted. Regardless of what any intentions really were, it looked like they were playing to our family.
