Crow Convinces A German Shepherd To Play Catch

Most dogs love to play ball. And it doesn’t matter who they play it with – we’ve even seen some dogs play by themselves. However, in a very adorable twist, one German Shepherd found himself a playmate in the form of a crow.

Even though crows are birds, they’re actually quite intelligent, and they can learn many tricks. The German Shepherd’s owner actually rescued the crow as a chick, after finding it abandoned in the woods. The dog’s human raised the crow and taught it to fly. Of course, the German Shepherd was there the whole way through, helping raise the crow and forming a strong connection with it as well. One of the games that the three enjoyed playing together, was ball.

Eventually, the crow grew up and soon flew away to start her own life, but she’d regularly show up to visit. After getting some food, she’d also want to still play a friendly game of ball. And the German Shepherd was only too happy to oblige.

According to the owner, the crow often will return to the house with little “gifts” – which really are just stolen trinkets from the neighbors. But it’s the thought that counts, right?
