The current COVID-19 pandemic is not the ideal situation to be in right now – but can I just say, thank goodness we live in a world where there is plenty of technology to keep us connected with one another in a virtual manner? Imagine trying to stay in touch with your loved ones in 1920 – at least now we can just start a FaceTime with those we care about, rather than waiting weeks for a letter to arrive.
And the best part about the technology that keeps us connected, is that it also keeps us in the loop with outlets of entertainment thanks to social media. And CMT radio host, Cody Alan recently launched Teddy Time, which is a virtual pet playdate series on his Instagram and Facebook, and we could not be more thankful.
Both country music stars and their dogs will be appearing on Alan’s series, which was actually named after his own 7-month-old golden retriever puppy, Teddy.
During one of the first episodes, Alan and Teddy were joined by singer RaeLynn and her two dogs. Cash and Dolly were obviously named for Dolly Parton and Johnny Cash.
At the start, Alan explained to viewers, “We bring the celebrities and their dogs to you.”
RaeLynn introduced her 1.5-year-old all-black German shepherd, Cash, saying, “He’s the man in black,” referencing Johnny Cash’s nickname.
“So you can totally relate to where I’m at right now with 7-month-old Teddy over here,” Alan said of Teddy, who was busy enjoying a treat. “If I didn’t give him a treat right now RaeLynn he would be all over me, he’d be all over this camera, so I gave him a treat just to keep him sedated for a moment.”
“When I saw you got a puppy I was the most excited because they are the best,” RaeLynn responded.
Alan and RaeLynn then promised to schedule a real-life playdate for their pups after lockdown ends.
Alan and Teddy also had Brantley Gilbert and his dog, Bo, join them on Teddy Time. Upcoming guests will include Mitchell Tenpenny, Brandon Lancaster, Nikko Moon, Midland’s Mark Wystrach, Rachel Wammack and Hunter Hayes.
