When dogs go missing, it’s the most heart-wrenching thing for the family. And if the dog is never found, it leaves such a devastating hole with the family.
When a dog named Maisy went missing, her family was naturally overcome by grief. Maisy had been playing outside with the family’s children in the woods when she wandered off and got lost.
The Helland family were desperate to find her, however, their searching proceeded no results, their four-year-old dog was gone. The family waited for an entire year in the hope that she would return, but she didn’t. It was finally then and there that they had to accept that their beloved Beagle was gone forever.
However, there a twist of fate six years later, when the family received a phone call from the Young Williams Animal Center. The Hellands were in awe to hear that they had Maisy in their care.
The then 12-year-old dog had been found. The family had a very heartwarming and emotional reunion. In fact, April Helland noted that Maisy hadn’t changed a bit.
She said, “She still does it, when you pick her up, she’ll just lay back like this and be so sweet.”
