It’s never easy saying goodbye to a pet. And recently, 45-year-old actor Zach Braff took to Instagram to share the sad news of having to say farewell to his fur baby, Roscoe. The precious rescue pup passed away at the old age of 17.
In a series of photos on Instagram, Braff wrote, “Today I had to say goodbye to my best friend, Roscoe Braff. He made it to 17 years! I feel so lucky that we found each other.”
The actor, well known for his role in “Scrubs,” added a word of encouragement to his followers to consider adoption, citing that it was “the best decision” he’d ever made.

Braff wasn’t the only one paying tribute to the late Roscoe. Braff’s girlfriend, actress Florence Pugh, also posted a quick memorial on her own Instagram, writing, “Goodnight sweet Roscoe. Thank you for all the love you gave and for all the kisses you treated me to.”

She then went on to refer to Braff and Roscoe’s friendship as one that she felt genuinely lucky to have been a witness to. The actress also added Braff’s tribute to her Instagram Story where she added the caption “Night night Roscoe, we love you.”
There is no doubt that Roscoe will be greatly missed. Our condolences go out to Braff and Pugh, we know just how hard it can be to say goodbye to a beloved pet. What do you think? Have you ever had to say goodbye to your beloved dog? How did you cope? Let us know!
