Everyone loves ice cream. Even our dogs are fond of the cold and creamy treat that makes any summer day that much better. My dog used to LOVE her ice cream treats. Every summer we’d have to load up the freezer with her favorite Frosty Paws in order to satiate her during the warm days when we’d be enjoying some ice cream in the backyard and she wanted to be a part of the fun. Of course there was the occasional day when we’d give her a small scoop of our vanilla ice cream, but for the most part we’d always make sure that she’d get her specialty dog-friendly ice cream.
But in one Pavlovian twist, there is a 3-year-old Alaskan Malamute who has become very accustomed to the ice cream truck driving around her neighborhood. In fact, just the sound of the music coming from the truck is enough to send her salivating and running out the door. This adorable pup has the ice cream truck routine down to a tee!

Every time Mishka hears the ice cream man coming, she runs out to the curb where she eagerly flags him down. In this particular video, she’s already outside and waiting for the truck to drive around. The ice cream truck driver seems to already know her order, as he scoops it out for her and gives it to the patient pooch. Mishka, like most dogs, never seems to be able to make her treat last as she scarfs it down in just a few bites!
Watch as Mishka gets her ice cream fix in the video clip below:
Is that not just the cutest thing you’ve seen? My favorite part of the video is the beginning where her tail begins to wildly wave in anticipation of the ice cream truck pulling up. Dogs are just too hilarious. What do you think of Mishka and the ice cream? Do your dogs enjoy waiting for the ice cream truck? Let us know!
