Dogs are often the subject of unlikely animal friendships. And nobody would exactly pair a little dachshund with a cow, but somehow that friendship became an incredibly close one. Cows are actually more emotionally intelligent than people give them credit for. They can easily create close bonds with animals, and this particular cow was happy to become friends with a 6-month-old wire-haired dachshund called Lana.
Lana wasn’t the least bit taken aback by the cow’s large size. Instead, she was just curious about becoming friends. The two animals were experiencing one another for the first time so it was quite endearing to see that each animal took an immediate liking to the other.
The two even shared a nose boop! How sweet is that? Once they had established a friendship the cow and puppy decided that it was playtime. Lana raced around while the cow followed her trying to boop her again. Lana’s little tail was wagging the whole time.
It’s always so nice to see animals of different species get along like they’re lost long besties.
