Most of us go off to work or school without a second thought as to how long we’ll actually be gone. Of course, throughout the day we may experience some fatigue and a longing for home if the day feels like it’s dragging by.
But for the dogs that we leave behind at home, it’s a totally different story. Our dogs love us and are so loyal to us, so it makes sense that they don’t want to see us go. And let’s be honest, there is nothing like coming home to a doggie welcome. They give the best ones.
And in the video below, there were two dogs who were more than thrilled to see their favorite person returning home! Of course, this meant that it was time for them to roll out the red carpet of canine welcomes.
The two dogs were greeting their favorite human, a little boy who had been at his preschool for the day. Naturally, even though it was preschool and it didn’t last that long – only two hours – the dogs were still so excited. And it’s heartwarming to see our dogs get overexcited for our return after very short periods away from them. It’s comforting.
And for this boy, it was no different. As he was greeted by the German Shepherd’s very elated cry the minute that he walked through the door. That’s the best thing about dogs – they act like every second away from us is the equivalent of a millennium. We really don’t deserve all the love and loyalty they constantly bestow upon us.
