Golden Retriever Is Overly Protective Of His Mom

When dogs form a bond with their person, there isn’t anything they won’t do for them. Their person is their person, and no one else’s – it’s a solid bond. Of course, this sweet sentiment is why dogs are such incredible pets, but it can also spell a hilarious disaster for those of us who want to get close to the dog’s person.

We saw it first hand on Bailey the Golden Retriever’s video. Bailey is a dog with his very own YouTube channel. He is known for his entertaining and funny videos, and one of them featured his very protective side of his owner. The two-year-old golden retriever wouldn’t even let his owner’s husband touch her without hilarious consequences.

The couple recorded a funny video for Bailey’s channel, which showed first hand just how protective he is of his owner. Every time that the husband tried to touch his wife’s foot, Bailey would give him a very stern look that meant he wasn’t playing around.

As the husband continued to try, Bailey ramped up his own protection. He got up and went over to his owner, even going as far as gently putting her foot in his mouth to keep her husband from attempting to grab it – now that is dedication.

Of course, this just has the couple in stitches over their dog’s over-protective ways.

And it didn’t stop there. When the husband placed his hand on her leg, Bailey warned him with a few barks.

When the husband “didn’t get it” Bailey then barked some more and sat on top of his owner, continuing his star down of the husband.

One would think that after the video they wouldn’t be friends, but the husband and Bailey are best buds in real life – so long as Bailey isn’t acting as his owner’s personal bodyguard.
