By now we’ve probably all seen the footage of the adorable little dog who’s owner got quite the scare after discovering him in a “pool of blood” following a dragonfruit binge. You know the image I’m talking about – it’s basically become a meme overnight.
The photo was uploaded to Twitter by user @chrissytwittwit, who got it from a post by Evangelina Wong which depicted her Corgi laying on the floor after having gorged itself on dragon fruit.
Looking at the initial image, we can totally see why someone would have a panic attack after discovering their dog like this. Thankfully, no Corgis were harmed in the taking of the pictures. It was just that this little pup had way too much fun getting his daily dose of dragonfruit.
In her tweet, @chrissytwittwit posted, “Her owner found him like this and thought it died due to loss of blood. Found out that it was just dragon fruit and fell asleep from being too full.”
The follow up pictures showed that the pup was A-okay and just a little groggy from having had their nap interrupted.
I think what is currently resonating so loudly with many of us, is that this little pup’s pictures portray quite accurately how most of us are probably feeling having gone through a decent amount of our quarantine snacks already.
