Hairstylists are wonderful people. Not only do they do a great job of making our locks look glamorous in such a way we can never reproduce at home, but they are also such great listeners. They will listen to us talk about anything and everything – including our pets.
When Brittany Taylor went to Gibson Hair & Makeup in Charleston, South Carolina to get her hair styled, she bend her stylist’s ear talking about Luka, her new puppy. Michelle Atwood did what every stylist does: she listened.
As any proud pet parent would, Brittany told The Dodo, “We have two other dogs and Luka has been the funniest, loudest and silliest puppy yet. When we come home after being gone for a while he squeals like a little piggy and makes us squeeze him for about five minutes and then he calms down. He’s extremely playful and loves to cuddle near your face.”
After this proud dog mama had told Michelle all about Luka, Michelle knew that she had to meet this precious pup. She insisted that the next time Brittany come in, she bring Luka with her. Delighted, Brittany brought Luka with her at her next appointment – much to the thrill of everyone in the salon.
Like any puppy, Luka was initially a little fidgety, but after a while he settled down and enjoyed all the attention being lavished upon him.
Brittany recalled, “He was a little hyper when he first got to the salon, but after about an hour he calmed down and fell asleep for about 45 minutes. Everyone in the salon loved having Luka there! Many helped babysit since I was getting my hair done and he got lots of pets and cuddles. He is such a good boy!”
After Brittany had gotten her hair done, Michelle thought it would be so cute to have Luka take a spin in the chair and pretend to have his hair done too. The resulting pictures were beyond adorable!
“I think he did so well because he was still a little sleepy,” Brittany said. ”He was very curious when it was happening and acted like a good boy!”
While the appointment had finished and the two had to leave, there is no doubt that the salon will not be seeing the last of Luka.
