It’s no surprise that some of the kindest animals out there are dogs. Their empathy does not have limitations or prejudice. They simply help anyone or anything that needs it. And that is exactly what happened for one little bird who needed help.
The little bird had gotten itself stuck inside a house and was struggling to get out. Fortunately for this little bird, there was someone on the scene who was more than happy to help: a black lab named Gus.
Gus gently picked up the bird in his “soft mouth” and helped the bird to get outside in order to make his escape. According to his owner, Jennifer, this isn’t the first time that Gus has shown such kindness to others.
According to her, “Over the years we’ve had several birds get trapped on the porch (the door is open during the day for the dogs). Gus is very skilled at the gentle catch and release!”
That is such a sweet and kind dog. That is the type of kindness that this world could use more of. Let us all take a lesson from Gus.
