Rare Wolfdog Hybrid Goes Viral Because He Is So Big That People Think He Is Fake

It is not hard to imagine a giant Wolfdog becoming an internet sensation because of his sheer size. That is exactly what happened to Yuki, who became famous for his size, following a very rough life.

Yuki is a part dog and part wolf, and the very rare wolfdog hybrid is actually 87.5% Gray Wolf, 8.6% Siberian Husky, with 3.9% German Shepherd – as reported by his residence, the Shy Wolf Sanctuary in Naples, Florida. A few months ago, Yuki achieved viral fame because he is so large people thought he was fake.

Yuki was rescued at 8-months-old by Shy Wolf Sanctuary back in 2008, after he had grown too large for his owner to properly care for.

The now 12-year-old gentle giant is getting shown off to the world by Shy Wolf Sanctuary volunteer, Brittany Allen, who shares pictures of the 120-pound Yuki to Instagram. When she initially shared the photos, there were many people who offered to adopt the large wolfdog, however, due to terminal illness, he was not going to be put up for adoption.

“Sorry everyone, but I am not available for adoption. I am 12 years old and terminally ill so I will be staying at Shy Wolf with my pack friend Bella in our enclosure. However, you can sponsor me!” the sanctuary posted to Instagram.
