Woman Reads To Shelter Dogs To Provide Them With Comfort And Support

The best thing about kindness is that it doesn’t cost us anything – it’s free. So, with that in mind, it would be in our best interest to give away as much of it as possible.

One woman in Pennsylvania was captured on camera showing the world that she had the kindness to give in spades – and she shared with the shelter dogs at her local animal shelter. Of course, whoever the woman was, had no idea that someone witnessed her kindness and took a photo of it.

The picture was uploaded to social media with the caption, “This woman comes to my local humane society and sits in front of the dog’s cage and reads books to the dogs.”

While we may never know who the woman is, this photo should be a reminder that we all have a little kindness in us to spare – particularly with those less fortunate. A little kindness can definitely go a long way, like with these dogs. There is no doubt her reading to them comforts them, since being locked up in a kennel most of the day has got to be scary and difficult for them.

And as the person who took the photo reminded others, “They always need volunteers! You can do anything from dog walking, cat cuddling, to helping with the rabbits! I don’t get there as often as I would like because of work, but when I do it makes my day so much happier.”

So, perhaps this can be your reminder that a little kindness and volunteer work with shelter dogs can make a huge difference in their lives.
