Meet Paningning: The Adorable Puppy That Loves To Sleep On Its Back

How many of us have hit a saturation point in our lockdown where we can’t really take anymore? Show of hands? Yeah, same here. I’ve been skipping rope outside in the mornings but it doesn’t help that the small courtyard of our rented townhouse is all concrete, so it very much feels like I’m skipping rope inside a prison. Oh to be able to go back to the days of non-essential trips. But if you’re like me, you’re probably on your phone or laptop a lot, trying to pass the time. So, let me give you something cute to marvel at for a while.

Remember the post of the tiny Shih Tzu asleep? Well, if you missed it, here it is again in all its adorable glory. This should definitely bring a smile to your face.

Paningning is the adorable pooch from the Philippines, who rose to social media fame after her owner, Janess Cua, posted pictures of the adorable, then-2-month-old Shih Tzu to a Facebook dog group.

Naturally, people on the dog group lost their minds over the cuteness of the puppy, and the pictures quickly spread and went viral. The positive reaction to the photos prompted Janess to create Paningning her very own social media account.

What prompted Paningning’s rise to fame was her preferred sleeping method. This little pooch loves to lay flat on her back while snoozing, and exposes her pink belly. It’s so irresistibly cute, you can’t help but want to photograph the sleeping dog.

Of course, this has given her owner plenty to work with. You can follow Paningning on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
