Unfortunately, not everyone likes animals. Some people just prefer to never have a pet in their house. Ever. And while most of us agree that we do not need that kind of negativity in our lives, those people still exist in our society. So, what do we do when we inevitably encounter them? Or worse, don’t realize we’re dating them?
Well, one man who was dating a woman who despised his Beagle, proved that not all heroes wear capes.
The man, Reddit user, Getzen, was dating his girlfriend for four years. he decided that it was time to take the next step and move in together. You know how they say you don’t really know a person until you move in with them? Well, this man found out the hard way that he wasn’t entirely aware of just how much his girlfriend hated his dog, Molly.
Getzen’s girlfriend actually presented him with the following ultimatum: get rid of Molly or else.
Getzen thought about it for a bit, then quickly posted the following ad on Craigslist:

MY girlfriend does not like my beagle, Molly. SO I have to rehome her. She is a purebred from a wealthy area and I have had her 4 years. She likes to play games. Not totally trained. Has long hair so she’s a little high maintenance, especially the nails, but she loves having them done. Stays up all night yapping but sleeps while I work. Only eats the best, most expensive food. Will NEVER greet you at the door after a long day or give you unconditional love when you’re down. Does not bite but she can be mean as hell!
So… anyone interested in my 30-year-old, selfish, wicked, gold-digging girlfriend? Come and get her! Me and my dog want her re-homed ASAP!
Well, there you have it. The man clearly made the right choice because pets are for life and whether it’s a cat, dog, rabbit, or bird, you will never have a more loyal and loving companion than your pet.
