When it comes to our dogs, we only want to give them the best – in whatever way we can.
And that is how one dog named Maya ended up with the best kind of dog house possible. Her owner, David Connolly, happens to own the company Fencing Decking Specialists NI in the UK. Maya goes to job sites with him pretty much all the time, however, there are certain jobs when she can’t, so she has to stay home.
When she’s home, Maya stays outside in the backyard, and that is why Connolly took it upon himself to build her a little cabin of her own – and the results are incredible!
From the outside it looks like a rustic little cabin, but on the inside there are many modern amenities to spoil Maya.
“It has an insulated floor, porch, night light, and a small heater as well, for the wintertime,” Connolly said to The Dodo, “I built her cabin raised off the ground so as when she is lying inside her bedroom or on her balcony deck she can see over the top of the fence at passersby.”
While Maya does hangout with Connolly most of the time, when she is left at home, she’s not left in the dark. The cabin even comes with lighting for evening time!
As Connolly stated, he wanted to do something special for the dog who means so much to him.
“Maya is my best friend,” he said. “She is a loyal companion and I am trying my best to make her life as enjoyable and comfortable for her as I possibly can. Building her a comfortable little home is the least I could do.”
While Connolly is away, Maya enjoys herself in her cabin. It’s a great escape for her to enjoy herself until her owner is home and the two of them can enjoy their time together.
As Connolly added, “I believe dogs have a short time on this earth and we all must strive to take as much care and give them as much love as we can.”
